LED flood lights and LED security lights are the suitable replacement for old inefficient halogen globes typically mounted on the facade of a building to illuminate the immediate area. This could be used for a patio or BBQ area, along a narrow path for security reasons, illuminating a car park area and so on. There are typically two typical beam patterns, narrow beam (less than 45 degrees) and super wide beam (greater than 70 degrees). Both depend on your specific application, a wide beam light will obviously cover more area regardless of the mounting height, whilst a narrow beam or spot will cast a circular beam into a more concentrated area such as bin areas or trees. Be careful when choosing which mounting bracket is chosen, some have internal wiring terminals whilst others simply with a plug will need additional hardware to install.
