Back in 2013 when the Victorian Energy Efficiency scheme first introduced LED lighting replacements as an eligible activity to generate certificates Lighting Matters was introduced to the owner of the CQ building in Queen Street Melbourne via a mutual friend.
After some months of trailing particular globes from various manufacturers and suppliers, Lighting Matters was awarded the large job of retrofitting the 35W and 50W halogen downlights throughout the 11 floors in the building.
After two solid weeks of after hours work replacing the halogens with the popular Brightgreen D700 we had completed the changeover of more than 2000 globes with a projected annual saving of more than $20,000.
The retrofit took place in various areas across a set of conference rooms, a liquor store, foyer, bar area, restaurant, public facilities, hotel and back of house areas.
At the time this was the largest retrofit of LED downlights under the VEET scheme in Australia and we are proud to put our name on it as the preferred installer.
