A multi-national manufacturer of semiconductor materials and devices, CREE was formed in 1987 by researchers from North Carolina State University. Verbatim, owned by Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation, produce the phosphor (white light filters) for CREE. All Verbatim lights have CREE chips. This collaboration combines the unique skills of both companies.
CREE's international product range has recently become available to the Australian architectural market with products impressively rated at up to 110 lumens per watt efficacy, over 90 CRI at 3000K (warm white), and backed by 5-7 year warranties.
