Verbatim LED Lighting is owned by Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation, one of the largest chemical companies in the world, with more than 60 years experience in developing lighting materials. Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation produces the phosphor (white light filters) for a number of LED manufacturers. These partnerships have continued to evolve - all Verbatim LED lights utilise CREE components, representing a harmonious collaboration between two companies.

Sustainability and respect for the environment are key elements of development and manufacturing. This philosophy is reinforced by the Verbatim motto, or KAITEKI concept, traditionally meaning "comfort" or "ease" in Japanese. The Verbatim LED-based solutions achieve both these aims.

Through the innovation of Violet Chip technology and OLEDs (Organic Light Emitting Diodes), Verbatim has created a paradigm shift in lighting design that has designers, planners and architects glowing with excitement. They offer high quality, soft, colourful lighting with a luxurious feel, as smooth and as rich as velvet. Violet Chip technology emits a spectrum that closely resembles sunlight. The Color Rendering Index (CRI) is over 90, and the R9 (red) component is over 85, so red colours are realistic and vibrant. The quality of light is thus very high, exhibiting true colour.
